About

Other Wise and J-Rob started rhyming together shortly after high school. Together they mastered the off beat/on beat, crazy rhyme scheme’d, wordplay/metaphor heavy, multisyllabic style they are best known for. In 2004 Other Wise and J-Rob got together with Shamroc and formed the original Stick Up Kids. “At the time all we did was make the music. We never actually promoted it or put it out there for people to hear”, says Other Wise. Then in 2008 Other Wise contacted Craz-E Crane about doing a collaboration with the group, which was a huge success. Craz-E Crane was already making music but he was mostly known for doing parody songs and spin off’s of other peoples music with a comical twist. Dealing with the stress and anger of life, Chino approached Other Wise with the idea for “Deal Wit It”. The reaction to that song was so big that Chino decided he wanted to be part of the group so he could express him self through his lyrics and use it as a stress reliever. J-Rob contact Jon Baylor about some work with beats. The beats were so amazing J-Rob and Other Wise decided they wanted to exclusively work with Baylor so they approached him and asked him to be the official producer for the group. When all three of them were added to the roster, the new and improved Stick Up Kids was formed.
